I haven't posted anything for a month now, and it wasn't a big event to return to school. Today (October 5, 2009), we went to the Toronto Zoo. When I was young, and even now, I love to look at maps; especially road maps. Especially maps of Toronto. Especially MapArt's maps of Toronto. At the thought of a major and important city for North America, you'd think the entire place was endless buildings. And building. And parks. And roads. And highways. But on the east end of Toronto, the place turns into a conservation land. Rouge Park sits there, and that's the name of the conservation land. In it near the west end of Rouge Park, is the Toronto Zoo, sitting near some small industries, homes, and shops. Today, we went to this zoo. What other zoo is close enough to go to; and large enough?

Since this is a class trip, we went to a small little portable, or so I think. (Inside, it is hot and stuffy, because there were animals (A turtle swimming in an aquarium at least!) living inside the portable. We talked about animals, reviewed food chains, and what troublemakers we are. Huh? Yes, we are responsible for what we have an acronym: H.I.P.P.O.

We got to see a tiger, an orangutan, a sea horse (They're really small even for adult sea horses), real coral, and I'm getting a headache by the thought of it.

Want to go to the Toronto Zoo? Easy. Drive or fly to Toronto. Best to take a bus. If you don't know the route, the time, and what bus to take, hail a taxi. Any cab will do.
